PDP willing to visit Buhari, also Praying Fervently for his Safe return to Nigeria - BOT

Senator Walid Jubril, the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BOT), has said the party was willing to visit and sympathise with President Muhammadu Buhari in London. But the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) says PDP leaders are being “unnecessary overzealous” and urged them to allow the president enjoy his leave as he prepares to return soon. Jubril, who denied that the party promoted the rumored death of the president, said that the PDP was rather praying fervently for Buhari’s safe return to Nigeria. “Let him be well and come back and continue with his leadership of Nigeria. “If we are to be given the opportunity, the PDP leaders will even go to London to wish him well and sympathize with his family,” he said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna. But the National Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, said the PDP leaders were “too late to have expressed their willingness to visit the president at this ma

Rob Kardashian And Blac Chyna Are Back Together And Their Neighbors Are Pissed

This roller coaster will never stop rolling, regardless of how many mysterious deaths it causes. OK, so Rob Kardashian and Black Chyna’s relationship has caused zero mysterious deaths so far (THAT WE KNOW OF), but the couple reunited and their neighbors are not having it. Rob moved back into Chyna’s San Fernando home last week, TMZ reports, though law enforcement sources told the site police visited the gated community on Tuesday and were already inundated with complaints from residents regarding the couple. Neighbors allegedly told the cops Rob and Chyna’s visitors failed to use the front gate, opting to scale the wall and avoid security. Community members then went on to call said visitors “thugs” and “riffraff” in an effort to keep insults with a history of problematic racial connotations in circulation. They made sure to mention the neighborhood is full of “affluent people” concerned with how Rob and Chyna’s presence will affect the property value. Residents claimed Rob

I didn’t reject UK offer to rescue Chibok girls – Jonathan

The office of the former President Goodluck Jonathan has refuted claims that the last administration rejected an offer made by British forces to rescue the kidnapped Chibok school girls. Report by guardian.com claims the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom, on a mission named Operation Turus, conduct air recce over northern Nigeria for several months after the girls were taken in April 2014. “The girls were located in the first few weeks of the RAF mission,” a source involved in Operation Turus told the Observer. “We offered to rescue them, but the Nigerian government declined.” A statement by Jonathan’s media adviser, Ikechukwu Eze, said the lies in this report are self-evident, noting that Nigerians are conversant with the effort made by the Jonathan administration to rescue the girls. Eze said the media actively covered the multinational efforts and collaboration which involved some of the major powers deploying their crack intelligence officers to work with Nigeri

Buhari phones Obasanjo from UK, salutes him at 80

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 80th birthday. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, made this known in a statement last night. Adesina said in a phone call from London, where he is convalescing, Buhari told the former military ruler (1976 to 1979) and democratically elected president (1999 to 2007) that “a time like this provides opportunity to reflect on Obasanjo’s invaluable roles and contributions to the unity and cohesion of Nigeria, the brotherhood of all Africans, as well as peace and amity over the globe.” The presidential spokesman quoted Buhari as describing the former president as “a true citizen of the world.” He said Buhari recalled their days in the military thus: “Those of us who served under you in various capacities recall a man with boundless energy, with razor sharp mind, and one who does not suffer fools gladly. Working with you was a school in itself, and t

Champions League woes will haunt embattled Wenger

Radiating anger and resignation in equal measure, Arsene Wenger wore the exasperated expression that has become all too familiar to Arsenal followers during their club’s futile attempts to conquer Europe. Wenger’s frustrated demeanor on the touchline at the Allianz Arena last month was provoked by the sight of Arsenal being outclassed by Bayern Munich — again — in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. Each Bayern goal was a fresh twist of the knife for Wenger and by full-time Arsenal had been hammered 5-1, a chastening loss that seems certain to make Tuesday’s second leg at the Emirates Stadium a mere formality for the Germans. There was an unmistakeable feeling of deja vu as Wenger and his players trudged back to the changing room, once again assailed by the harsh realities of Europe’s elite club competition. Arsenal have been eliminated in the first knockout round of the Champions League in each of the last six seasons, twice by Bayern, and Wenger appe
