KIM KARDASHIAN: Thieves were bunch of amateurs.

According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian’s  robbers were rank amateurs ... and it showed from start to finish. Sources close to Kim tell TMZ ... she told cops the robbers were extremely hesitant and tentative ... whisking her in and out of the bathtub, pointing a gun at her head ... walking away and then pulling the gun again for no apparent reason. We're also told it seemed to Kim that the robbers were arguing over how to pull off the heist. Remember ... the robbers only spoke French. As for the robbers mimicking cops ... we're told not even close. The uniforms looked like they came from a Halloween store. The thieves used a garden-variety backpack to carry the jewels out. But they were extremely careless ... a $33,000 necklace ended up on the street as they made their getaway. And they left zip ties and duct tape behind. Still ... they got away with it -- for now.

Kobe Bryant: Five-time NBA champion auctions face mask

Former LA Lakers captain Kobe Bryant is auctioning off a face mask to raise funds for charity - with bids starting at $15,000 (£12,204). Bryant had to wear the mask after breaking his nose during the 2012 All-Star game where he passed Michael Jordan as the All-Star Game's leading scorer. He wore it for four Lakers games, earning the nickname 'The Masked Mamba'. The auction house describes the mask as "a Hall of Fame worthy piece that every NBA fan would be shocked to see in person". Bryant previously auctioned another mask he wore in the same season, securing $67,000 (£54,498) for the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. CREDIT: BBC.COM

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 production permanently stops

South Korean tech giant Samsung has permanently ceased production of its high-end Galaxy Note 7 smartphones after reports of devices it had deemed safe catching fire. The firm had already reduced Galaxy Note 7 production volumes. Owners are expected to be able to return the phones for a refund or an exchange for a different Samsung phone. The firm had earlier said it would stop sales of the phone. "We recently readjusted the production volume for thorough investigation and quality control, but putting consumer safety as top priority, we have reached a final decision to halt production of Galaxy Note 7s," the company said. "For the benefit of consumers' safety, we stopped sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7 and have consequently decided to stop production." Earlier, consumer tech analyst Caroline Milanesi of Creative Strategies told the BBC that Samsung should "call it a day" on production of the Galaxy Note 7 to limit l

KOURTNEY: I need more protection too.

Kourtney Kardashian touched down in L.A. and was greeted by a tighter security detail than usual, and they immediately went to work ... shielding her from a horde of media. Kourtney was whisked through LAX with 2 huge guys surrounding her -- while other bodyguards cleared a path to her waiting SUV. As we reported ... Kim's trusted bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was not with her at the time of the armed robbery -- instead he was with Kourt and Kendall Jenner in a Paris nightclub. Much like Kim and Kris Jenner Monday morning in NYC -- it's clear the whole family is going to be rolling deep with bodyguards.
