Kim Kardashian is ‘battling secret mystery illness’

KIM Kardashian is apparently dealing with a serious medical diagnosis following Kanye West’s hospitalisation. The couple have had a traumatic few months, since Kim was held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room and robbed of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery. Her husband Kanye was then hospitalised last month, resulting in the cancellation of his Saint Pablo tour. And amid speculation they are getting a divorce, it appears Kim has been battling something even more serious. According to source, the mum of two is hiding a medical diagnosis from her fans and friends. According to a source “About three weeks ago, Kim received bad medical news. “Kanye has been stressed about the diagnosis and that was part of what is to blame for his demise.”  REACHNAIJA

Saturday motivation From Linda Ikeji.

Linda Ikeji wrote: These are photos of me at a beach party organized for contestants of the 2003 Miss Nigeria pageant. I bet some of you didn't know I once contested? I told y'all I was a hustler back in the day..lol. Anyway, I desperately wanted to win the pageant because I believed I could use the platform to achieve my other dreams. I imagined all the possibilities, starting an NGO, having a TV show, rubbing shoulders with important people etc. I was a little famous back then as a model and when word got out that I was contesting, many of the soft sell magazines reported it. About a week before the pageant, I was so sure I would win it that I started making plans for life after being crowned Miss Nigeria 2003. Most of the models and designers in Nigeria were behind me, even the press, so what could go wrong? Plus I'd organized the Miss Unilag pageant for 3 consecutive years so I knew what it took to win a pageant..or so I thought!   And then the day of the...

C. RONALDO DECLARES ASSETS

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agency Gestifute has published further proof of what it claims is confirmation the Real Madrid superstar has paid all due taxes. The Portuguese has been the subject of allegations made in several European media outlets that he avoided paying taxes through structures set up by Gestifute, the company founded by his agent, Jorge Mendes. Those claims are part of the so-called ‘Football Leaks’, which will see 12 European newspapers publish the findings of what is described as “the largest leak in the history of sport” over the next three weeks. Gestifute issued a swift denial of the allegations last week, insisting that Ronaldo is “fully compliant with tax obligations”, and they threatened legal action against any party who insinuated an offence on the part of either the Portugal captain or his agent’s company. After the Spanish state secretary of the treasury, Jose Enrique Fernandez de Moya, was quoted as saying that the body would take “inspections we c...

I WILL PLAY FOR MADRID, FOR MY GRANDPA

Borussia Dortmund star, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has revealed he “made a promise” to his grandfather that he would play for Real Madrid after a fantastic performance at the Santiago Bernabeu Wednesday. Aubameyang scored a goal and assisted another in the 2-2 Champions League draw last night. He told beIN Sports, “Yes [I still want to play for Real], it’s a promise I made to my grandfather. “Right now, I feel very good at Dortmund but in the future, we’ll see.”

I DON’T WANT MADRID TO FACE JUVE – ZIDANE

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is hoping to avoid a return to Juventus in the Champions League last 16 after the holders blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Borussia Dortmund and qualify second from Group F, AFP reports. A double from Karim Benzema had Real well on course to leapfrog the Germans into top spot, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang halved Dortmund’s deficit before teeing up Marco Reus for the equaliser two minutes from time. However, that late goal could well benefit Real as they now can’t face the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester City or PSG in Monday’s draw. Instead, one of Leicester City, Arsenal, Monaco, Juventus or Napoli will stand in Real’s way come the new year. Juventus for two reasons,” said Zidane, who joined Real from the Italian giants for a world record fee in 2001, when asked who he wants to avoid. “I am very proud of the players and how they played against a great team with good players. “We needed to be a bit more attentive in the f...

50,000 ISIS militants killed in past 2 years, senior US official says

The U.S.-led coalition has killed 50,000 Islamic State fighters in the last two years in Iraq and Syria, marking a milestone in the long terror fight, a senior U.S. military official told Fox News on Thursday. The official made the remarks for the first time and called the figures a conservative estimate, but said it was more than what others have stated before. U.S. leaders have expressed reluctance to disclose specific numbers, and noting that ISIS had been able to replace fighters rapidly, particularly early on. Speaking about ISIS, the official said, “I give them credit for being so resilient.” The official warned airstrikes have killed so many ISIS fighters, fears remain that the terror group could go underground and morph into something he called “AQI 2.0,” or another version Al Qaeda in Iraq. In August, Lt. Gen. Sean MacFarland said about 45,000 combatants had been taken off the battlefields. The official said coalition airstrikes could be more aggressive in p...

Desiigner Is Being Sued For $500k Over Allegedly Crashing A Rented Ferrari

Desiigner’ pockets are about to be a little lighter, because he’s being sued for damaging a rented Ferrari back in June. Two of his friends, who have also been named in the lawsuit, allegedly gave the rapper permission to drive the car, however, he crashed it and now the rental company is suing for $500,000! The 2014 Ferrari is valued at $220k, but they want $500k, because they claim that they’re losing out on as much as $1,599 per day if they were able to rent it. According to TMZ, “The docs also included a cryptic tweet, supposedly from Desiigner, saying, “If you have a luxury car you better know how to drive.” The rental company thinks it’s a confession, but we checked and the account doesn’t look like it belongs to Desiigner.” A re for Desiigner tells TMZ, “This is the first that Desiigner or his team have heard about this lawsuit. The minute he has had a chance to consult with his attorney, his managers or his attorney will respond.”

Ghana goes to the polls in closely fought election

Ghanaians are casting their ballots in neck and neck presidential and parliamentary polls, held at a time of economic woes and corruption scandals that have eroded President John Mahama's lustre. Mahama's main rival is veteran politician and former foreign minister, Nana Akufo-Addo. The winner of Wednesday's election will serve a four-year term in a formerly booming country that has seen its economy sputter, currency deteriorate and inflation soar. There are some 15 million registered voters. Polling started at 07:00 GMT and will close at 17:00 GMT across the West African country. An exporter of gold and cocoa, and one of Africa's most successful oil exporters, Ghana was once hailed as a regional growth model but has now taken on too much debt. There are seven candidates battling for the top job and, if the smaller parties perform well and deny either man a majority, a presidential run-off will be held later in December. Mahama, 58, is ...

PDP refutes reports of alliance talks with APC National Leader Bola Tinubu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) has dismissed media reports of alliance talks with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and others. The Chairman of the board, Senator Walid Jibrin said such reports by the Ahmed Makarfi camp of the PDP were unfounded. The reports also mentioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and Senator Aliyu Wamakko as part of the talks. But in a statement in Abuja yesterday, the PDP BoT chair said the party had never contemplated partnership with Tinubu and other APC chieftains with the purpose of forming another political party. Jibrin said: “I salute Tinubu’s courage for coming out to speak frankly about his position regarding this unfounded rumour and for setting the record straight. “In Tinubu’s reaction denouncing the report, he criticised the PDP and I can’t understand why anybody would think that we are going to form a new party with somebody wh...

POGBA WILL NEVER WIN BALLON D'OR - DESCHAMPS

France manager Didier Deschamps has ruled Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba out of the running for the Ballon d’Or – this year and every year! The 23-year-old was named on the shortlist for this year’s trophy having impressed with Juventus before sealing a world-record transfer to Manchester United, but is not the right type of player to lift the award, according to his international manager. Lionel Messi has won four times and Cristiano Ronaldo twice in the six years since the current version of the trophy was created to honour the world’s best player, and Deschamps feels that Pogba’s position and lack of goals mean he will never triumph. “He’s a midfielder. The Ballon d’Or is for forwards or No 10s, apart from rare exceptions in certain competitions. They’re players who score goals,” Deschamps told RMC. “Paul has scored some, he’s going to score some, but he won’t score three goals per match. That’s not his game.”

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeniyi, in a statement issued on Monday stated that “the prohibition order covers all new and used vehicles”. He also said the ban was sequel to a presidential directive restricting all vehicle imports to Nigeria’s Sea ports only, adding that the order takes effect from January 1, 2017. “The restriction on importation of vehicles follows that of rice; import of rice through land borders has been banned since April 2016. Importers of vehicles through the land borders are requested to utilise the grace period until December 31, 2016 to clear their vehicle imports landed in neighbouring Ports,” Adeniyi said.
